Welcome to HUMS 202 – Choices in a Consumer Society

This online-only, one credit, self-paced, pass/fail course is required of all students with majors in the VCU College of Humanities and Sciences, and it should be taken in the second semester of the student's freshman year along with UNIV 112. It provides students with information on banking, savings, budgeting, credit & loans, purchasing a home, and other relevant topics. In this course, students will be asked to read or view some informational material, answer review questions (within the online material), and take graded tests in Blackboard for credit. Note that HUMS 202 is currently offered in the Fall and Spring semesters only. There are no plans to offer HUMS 202 during other terms.

Information on this course, including syllabus material, can be found in the various areas linked through the menu above. Links to the lesson modules and the after-module tests can be found in the HUMS 202 area of Blackboard (accessible to enrolled students only).

Please, take some time to look around the site and read the syllabus and other course-related material. If after reviewing the material you still have questions, feel free to contact me at WSStreet@VCU.edu.
